The Wishbone Chair, also known as the CH24 Chair or Y Chair is a chair designed by Hans Wegner in 1949 for Carl Hansen & Søn.The chair features a bentwood armrest and a paper cord rope seat in an woven envelope pattern. The chair is named after the Y or wishbone-shaped backrest. The chair, Wegner's best selling design is a notable example of Danish furniture design. Wegner started collaborating with Carl Hansen & Son in 1949 and the CH25 lounge chair is one of the first four chairs that came from this alliance. It was somewhat of a revolution in 1950, with its bold and sculptural shape, and seat and back made with paper cord – a very strong three-ply paper product that was even used to make tyres.

Eventually the production of the chair stopped in 1962 being too advanced for this period. Production recommenced in 1985 with applying new technologies but true to the "original" in terms of elegance, handcraft and looks. The Ox C Hans J.
